Amateur Photographer - Colour soaked Image

It’s always nice to have your photography acknowledged. This month in an article written by Jessica Miller (4th August 2026) the Editor of Amateur Photographer Nigel Atherton picked an image of mine “Courtship Colours” as his favourite from a number of images shortlisted from last years Amateur Photographer of the Year 2025: Celebrating Colour round.

I don’t typically photograph captive animals but this Iguana was such a handsome chap I couldn’t resist. He was photographed at the Buckfast Butterfly Farm at Buckfastleigh Devon if you want to see him.
