Announcing the arrival of "Birdwatching in Devon and Cornwall - A Photographic Journal" by Paul Howrihane

Announcing the self-publishing and printing of my first new book "Birdwatching in Devon and Cornwall - A Photographic Journal". It's conception came 5 years ago with an ever expanding library of photographs of birds which I had taken across the stunning counties of Devon and Cornwall and a desire to share some of the beauty I had witnessed and captured with other like-minded birders and nature lovers.

As the birds' stories developed with my experiences and research it became evident that there was a strong conservation message which needed to be told. This book charts my journey as I travel through the varied and contrasting habitats in Devon and Cornwall from the dramatic cliffs of the Lizard Peninsula through to the rugged coastline of Hartland, the undulating farmland of North Devon with it's narrow country lanes, wild hedgerows and grazing livestock to the more gentler landscape and sandy beaches of South Devon, wide horizons and wild windswept moors of Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and west Exmoor. The journal records the locations and dates of when each of the 200 bird species were photographed. For all those budding birdwatchers, nature lovers and those who just adore the beauty of the South West region, the images and stories of the birds included will delight and amaze the reader.

Checking the first printed copy
